DECC Minister Greg Barker at Ecobuild

DECC Minister Greg Barker for Green Deal takes the opportunity of Ecobuild 2014 on Tuesday 4th to build on the December 2013 announcement of a fourfold increase the capital funding available under the Green Deal Communities scheme.

DECC received 64 Green Deal Communities bids from Local Authorities hoping to accesses the extended fund of £80m, and first six projects have been approved. These projects are in Cambridgeshire, Ashfield, Suffolk, Peterborough, Haringey & Bracknell Forest, and together represent a total £19.5m to deliver over 5,500 Green Deal Plans to over 7,000 households.
